AFL-CIO President Rich Trumka not happy that Brett Kavanaugh has been nominated to the Supreme Court. In words that are indicative of class warfare, Mr. Trumpka complains about cases that Judge Kavanaugh has ruled on. This is a little strange because Trumpka has said recently that he would not rule out an AFL-CIO endorsement of President Trump for the 2020 elections.

In no uncertain terms, AFL-CIO President Rich Trumka said Wednesday as he condemned the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.
“Kavanaugh will skewer the [Supreme] Court more in favor of the wealthy and powerful elites,” Trumka told a press breakfast in Washington, D.C. hosted by the Christian Science Monitor.
Although the union chieftain’s opposition to the president’s second nominee to the high court was not unexpected, his strong language and references to specific cases before the court was somewhat surprising to reporters.
Trumka, for example, denounced the recent “Janus v. AFSCME” decision in which the court ruled against public sector unions who collected union fees from workers who want nothing to do with them.
Justice Samuel Alito, Trumka said, demonstrated “the worst example of judicial activism” by his ruling in the majority on “Janus.” He want to say the present Supreme Court was “the most corporate friendly court” in U.S. history.
Kavanaguh, he charged, “has a history for ruling for corporations against working people” and has “no respect for precedent…….
