Working to suppress the conservative voice through violence and intimidation.
There are a couple of possibilities as to the meaning of the label “Antifa.” Let’s go to the urban dictionary and see if I can pick one out that fits.
From the Urban Dictionary:
Antifa: In the United States, antifa stands for anti-First Amendment. While many claim that the group is anti-fascist, their actions have focused on shouting down and in some cases physically attacking those who oppose Progressive big government.
Antifa demonstrators were seen attacking participants at a pro-Trump rally/
As Written by peccatum Dei | ANTIFA REALLY MEANS ANTI FIRST AMENDMENT.
That is a lot different from their own claims that they are an anti-fascist movement. Their tactics are those that real fascists use against any that might oppose their ideas. They dress in black and use masks like the fascists blackshirts of the past. They hide their identities and feel free to attack those that are speaking a different narrative. Intolerance is a byword of their actions.
We do know that they are against nationalism and embrace globalism. Antifa uses violence to suppress any conservative voice. Take for example their actions against people that wanted to attend a President Trump rally and were physically attacked. In the same vein, Ann Coulter has been threatened and the University of California at Berkeley administration is intimidated for her attempting to deliver a conservative speech there.
This is lawlessness in its most harmful form. This kind of behavior is that a despot uses to maintain control over a nation. The continued violence of Antifa must be shut down with prejudice if necessary. That is what Antifa is attempting to do. The are acting in prejudice against free speech. It is a form of control. If you are afraid to speak up and to speak out, then tyranny has won.
The First Amendment speaks to our inalienable rights and no group should be allowed to take it from us. Law and order must prevail. Do not be afraid to speak. Support law and order. Demand the protection of everyone’s First Amendment rights. If we lose this fight, then the Republic will crumble.
